Launched on November 1st, 2022, PEERS aims to advance and reinforce the European Union’s operational safety and security policies through the development of a practitioner-driven ecosystem in the remit of the pre-normative / standardisation space with supporting tools, including VR-powered solutions.
Now at early beta stage, an enabling all-in-one integrated knowledge hub ecosystem has been produced for the benefit of the targeted community, which includes European CBRN-E practitioners, policymaking as well as the research community and national standardisation bodies across the EU.
Our CBRN Knowledge Hub contains a range of strategies, standards and protocols designed to help individuals and teams effectively prepare and respond to a CBRN-E disaster incident.
As part of the engagement process, a series of Meeting of Minds (MoM) virtual workshops have been established. The second of three workshops will be held on the 20th November 2024, 10:15 a.m. CET and will run for 1.15 hours.
Hosted by the University of Galway (UoG), Dr. Lukasz Porwol will demonstrate the use and application of the Knowledge Dashboard as main pillar of the CBRN Knowledge Hub centred around standardisation. Applying a hands-on approach, the workshop proceedings are designed for participant benefit enabling valued experience and know-how transfer to be ascertained on the use of the ecosystem platform and its application thereafter.
In advance of the workshop, as a member of the PEERS Co-Creation Group, registered people will be given access to the early beta ecosystem platform and enable for use in advance of the online event. For this to happen, it is imperative to ask to have access to the Platform, as well as to register at the MoM workshop.
Another hands-on workshop will be held by the end of this year on the 9th December 2024, to showcase the innovative aspects and how to use the Virtual Reality technology as part of our Platform.
